According to the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation “nearly one-third of American children are overweight or obese and nearly two-thirds of teens and children do not exercise enough”. However, the residents at Gables Pressler can help change these statistics and assist to bring awareness to this problem.
I know many of you wished that you would exercise more. Speaking for myself I wish I would. Exercising not only tones your body; it strengthens your muscles, keeps your bones strong, and improves your skin.
With your support Gables Pressler residents, IBM Uptown Classic can help to deliver the innovative MEND (Mind, Exercise, Nutrition, Do It!) program to undeserved families in Travis and Hays counties are no cost . This event takes place on October 17, 2010 and will begin at the IBM Austin campus and go through the Domain shopping center. We at the Gables Pressler would like all residents to participate and help create a better future for generations to come.
